What is included in a family portrait session?

Each family sessions is 60 minutes long. Some families select multiple sessions to document their life at their favorite outdoor location and their lakeside property. Before the session, we offer a no-cost design consult. We then even offer outfit selections and guidance, based on your location and time of the season.

How should we prepare for our session?

Try on and buy outfits at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Get hair cuts a week in advance. Iron all clothes the day before. Don't plan any other activities before the session. Relax, we got the posing and wear to stand, and place your hands.


A few "Don't Do These" tips.


NO TANNING, self-tanning, spray tanning, or any type of tanning products for 1 week before the session.


NO TATTOOS, piercings, or body modifications 2 weeks before the session. Trust us on this one.

What should we wear?

We recommend coordinating colors, but not matching colors.

Patterns & stripes are not recommended, however large prints can be ok. Just ask us and we can provide detailed guidance.

Wear the jewlery girls!!

Makeup should be as you wear it everyday.

Where are family portraits taken?

Anywhere actually. Some families love the outdoors in the fall and have portraits taken then. Others want elegant, stately portraits taken in their home. Some want to elevate it even further and take Black Label portraits in our studio.


Each session is completely designed around you and your family.

How long does a session last?

All sessions are 60 minutes.

When is the best time to schedule a session?

We shoot sessions all year round. Of course in the Louisiana heat, it can be tricky keeping dry in the outdoors May thru September. If you prefer, we can shoot in our private studio.


We don't rely on natural light, so we can shoot anytime of the day. Do you want that sun flare behind you? No worries we can make it happen, not blow out the sky, and you'll be lite beautifully.

What products and artwork do you offer?

  • Framed Master Heirlooms: these are digitally hand painted, printed on canvas, then hand embelisshed with oils/acrylics to highlight the portrait giving it a old master look.
  • Framed Traditional canvas prints
  • Framed HD Metal prints that are as glossy as car paint
  • Framed Fine Art prints on rag paper that is luxuriously soft
  • Sizes range from 50X60 to 16X20
