YOU ASK. WE ANSWER
How much do senior portraits cost?
Detailed pricing and financing options provided during the consultation, as all family and senior sessions are custom designed around the family/individual. Wall art is specifically curated to fit the walls of your beautiful home. With that in mind, sessions start at $450 with our happiest customers spending an average of $3,500.00.
Are professional family portraits worth the investment?
Yes, the are. Ask yourself this, How much was that couch or TV you purchased that will be replaced? That couch wears out and a TV loses value the day you bring it home, but a Master Heirloom gets more valuable every year — on birthdays, graduations, even years later when someone's chair at the table is empty. That's what makes it different..
A phone photo gets scrolled past and forgotten. A real portrait hangs on your wall and reminds your family every day that they matter and they belong. We See You — and you are always worth the investment.
How far in advance should I book Senior portraits?
BOOK THEM NOW. In order to provide a highly customized experience, we limit how many seniors we take a year. We photograph year round.
How long are family sessions?
Most sessions are 45-60 minutes long and up to 2 outfit changes.
Do you offer Senior packages?
We do. We have pre-built packages for seniors and families. Packages may include framed wall art, leather bound album(s), brag books, grad cards, desk easels and cell phone apps for sharing digitals.

What should my family wear?
You should wear clothes you are comfortable in. They should definatly be you. With that said.....
During the curation / collaboration stage, we will help you pick out your families outfits. In general, clothes should "coordinate", not match. Stay in the same color tones such as browns, maroons, tan, and or gold. Or you may select to stay with blues, grays, white, and some soft greens.
In all cases, avoid stripes and patterns. These distract from you and can often clash with the surrounding environment.
As a Senior, what should I wear?
Most seniors need 3 sessions to fully document their Senior Year; and each session typically focuses on 2 outfits.
Example: Session 1 maybe for the casual/dressy outfits, which includes the cap and gown. The next maybe for the sport or hobby and those uniforms/outfits. Some elect a third session to focus on a fashion outfit that is elegant or much more casual.
Either way, we work closely with you to select outfits for each session.
A few "Don't Do These" tips.
NO TANNING, self-tanning, spray tanning, or any type of tanning products for 1 week before the session.
NO TATTOOS, piercings, or body modifications 2 weeks before the session. Trust us on this one.
When is the best time of year for Family Portraits?
In Shreveport/Bossier City, spring and fall is hard to beat. Spring is full of colors and flowers with plenty of greenery options. The sky can produce a beautiful canopy of soft light that makes your skin look amazing.
By October, Louisiana's heavy summer humidity finally breaks, temperatures settle into the 60s to 80s, and the light turns warm and golden — exactly the kind of soft glow that makes people look comfortable instead of sweaty and squinting. It's also why fall books up faster than any other season for family sessions.
That said, the "best" time isn't only about the weather — it's more about timing your family's season. We're really asking: what season is your family in right now? Because that's the moment worth capturing — before it changes.
Do you include digital images?
Yes, we include a social media sized digital image used in every product ordered. On average, most Seniors receive about 40-60 images depending entirely on the number of sessions.
Do you offer family packages?
We do. We have pre-built packages for families. We have packages that consist of framed wall art and luxurious leather albums. Others are built specifically around coffee table 10X10 leather albums with gilded edges and labeled spines to serve as annual family albums.
How long does a session last?
All sessions are 60 minutes.
How many people can be included in a family session?
Typically we limit it to the immediate family; Mom, Dad and children. If you'd like to include Grandparents, just let us know in advance as we design the session and portriats around the number of people.
For large family groups such as Grandparents, their children and grandchildren, we go over all the images and products needed to determine the number of sessions, locations and time needed to capture generational portraits.
What products and artwork do you offer?
- Framed Master Heirlooms: these are digitally hand painted, printed on canvas, then hand embelisshed with oils/acrylics to highlight the portrait giving it a old master look.
- Framed Traditional canvas prints
- Framed HD Metal prints that are as glossy as car paint
- Framed Fine Art prints on rag paper that is luxuriously soft

- American Walnut Folio boxes with display windows that store 20-30 prints.
- Hand made, thick page, glossy leather bound albums with multiple cover options to select from
- Soft bound Brag Books to give away to grandparents, family and friends rather than 5X7 prints that get lost.
How many pictures will we receive?
Typically, each Senior has 2-3 sessions. With each session, approximately 20-30 images are produced. During the In-Person Reveal Sesssion, you will select which images to use on wall art, in albums, in folio boxes, and on other products. You will receive a digital image of each of the images used in products and they will be sized perfectly for social media platforms.
When is the best time to schedule a session?
We photograph sessions all year round! Of course, here in Louisiana, May through September can make outdoor sessions a little… sweaty. If you'd rather stay cool, our private studio is always an option.
And because we don't rely on natural light alone, we aren't limited by the clock.
So whether you’re dreaming of an outdoor session, a studio experience, or something completely your own, there’s really no bad time to tell your story.

FAMILY FAQs
MASTER HEIRLOOM FAQs
What is a Master Heirloom?
It's an image that has been edited specifically for painting. It's then printed on archival canvas with Giclee inks and sealed to last for years. Next, it's hand embellished with oils and acrylics to bring out the light, shadows, and key features to give it that old master touch. It's finish with a beautiful frame, backer and hangers; ready for your home.
How do we know the perfect size?
You can send us a cell phone picture of your wall(s) that you'd like to hang the Master Heirloom on. We place a digital copy of your image into the picture of your wall and scale it to size. This way you can see YOUR image on YOUR wall and know it will be perfectly sized.
What should we wear?
We recommend coordinating colors, but not matching colors.
Solids or very small print are great. Patterns & stripes are not recommended. Just ask us and we can provide detailed guidance.
Go glam or choose your everyday look.
HMUA recs available on request.
Where are Master Heirloom portraits taken?
Anywhere actually. Some families love the outdoors in the fall. Some have their's taken in a location with familiar connection. While others select a studio version.
During your complimentary consult, we will work closely with you to understand your home's "feel" and help select location, colors, outfits, framing, etc.
How long does a session last?
All sessions are 60 minutes.
How long does it take to ceate a Master Heirloom?
From the date of the session, it typically takes 12-14 weeks.
Within about a week, the image will be fully edited and ready for your review.
Once you have approved the image, it's printed, stretched on the frame, and painting begins. Printing and stretching is about 10-14 business days.
Painting beings next and this is what takes the time. We literally are waiting on paint to dry in between coatings.
Once it's complete, framing takes about 2 weeks, and then it's delivered the next week.
What size Master Heirlooms do you recommend?
We recommend the size that fits your walls and beautiful home.
The actual size we can print / paint ranges from 16X20 up to 40X60, plus framing.
Homes that have 8' tall walls can usually handle a 24X36 Master Heirloom with framing, or a collage of (2) 16X24s in a portait position.
Eitherway, we will show you on our screen in the viewing gallery, YOUR image on YOUR walls, perfectly sized/scale before we print.
