Kind Words From Our Customers

YOU ASK.  WE ANSWER

What is included in an environmental portrait session?

We don’t believe your session should happen in a location just because it photographs well. The location should make sense for you and your story.

We’ll talk through location ideas during your complimentary design consultation, taking into consideration your personality, the look and feel you’re going for, the season, and what you want your portraits to say about you.

Once we’ve chosen a direction, we scout the location ahead of time so we know exactly what to expect—from the best places to photograph to the light, backgrounds, and little details that will make your portraits work.

And yes, your outfits are part of the plan. We’ll coordinate your wardrobe with the location so everything works together and the final portraits feel intentional from beginning to end.

You don’t need to know the perfect location, know how to pose, or have everything figured out before you arrive. That’s what we’re here for. We’ll guide you through the process and create an experience that feels like you.

How should we prepare for our session?

Plan your outfits early. Try on everything and have your outfits purchased at least 2–3 weeks ahead of time. Give yourself plenty of time to make changes if something just doesn’t feel right.

Haircuts? About a week before. This gives your hair time to settle in and still look fresh.

Iron or steam your clothes the day before. One less thing to worry about when you're getting ready.

Don’t schedule anything else right before your session. Give yourself a little breathing room. Come relaxed, have fun, and let us take it from there. We’ll guide you through posing and direction every step of the way.

A Few “Don’t Do These” Tips

NO TANNING. Skip tanning beds, self-tanners, spray tans, and tanning products for at least one week before your session. Trust us on this one.

NO TATTOOS, PIERCINGS, OR BODY MODIFICATIONS for at least two weeks before your session. Give your skin plenty of time to heal and settle down.

Most importantly, don’t stress. You don’t have to know how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how to look natural in front of the camera. That’s my job.

What should we wear?

We recommend coordinating colors, but not matching colors.

Patterns & stripes are not recommended, however large prints can be ok. Just ask us and we can provide detailed guidance.

Wear the jewlery girls!!

Makeup should be as you wear it everyday.

Where are environmental portraits taken?

Anywhere actually. Urban vibes, nature areas, your favorite hangout, downtown or out of town, we curate a location that feels right for the vision you're here to create. Travel fees are discussed at the consult.

Each session is completely designed around you and your family.

How long does a session last?

All sessions are 60 minutes.

When is the best time to schedule a session?

We photograph sessions all year round! Of course, here in Louisiana, May through September can make outdoor sessions a little… sweaty. If you'd rather stay cool, our private studio is always an option.

And because we don't rely on natural light alone, we aren't limited by the clock.

So whether you’re dreaming of an outdoor session, a studio experience, or something completely your own, there’s really no bad time to tell your story.

What products and artwork do you offer?

  • Framed Traditional canvas prints
  • Framed HD Metal prints that are as glossy as car paint.
  • Framed Fine Art prints on rag paper that is luxuriously soft.
  • Sizes range from 50X60 to 16X20
