This Is. Your Moment.

The Experience
- CONSULT - We listen to you, the Senior. What makes you, you. We ask lots of questions to really understand you as a person.
- CURATE - This is where the fun begins. We brain storm ideas with you. Pick out, or heck even custom design clothing, and make sure everything works together for your dream photo shoot.
- CREATE - The magic starts here. We take all the ideas and build out your sessions, the locations, the time of day, colors, tone of images and even down to particular lighting. Nothing is left to chance.
- IN PERSONAL IMAGE SELECTION - Yes, you read that correct. You'll come back to our gallery and select all your images and how you want to use them. You'll decide which is your favoriate that is turned into wall art. Which images are printed and matted for display in a beautiful American Walnut folio box.
- CUSTOM GRAD CARDS - You'll get to select which images go on your Grad Cards, what wording is used and even the look & feel.
- CELEBRATE - You'll get Brag Books full of your images to give away to the Grandparents, and favorite aunts and uncles. Mom and Dad can have one for the office. But the grand portrait is reserved for your home; to remind Mom and Dad of this incredible time.
Why select Daphne Blount - The Focused Lens Portraits?
Senior year goes by fast, and your portraits are one of the only things that will still be around long after it's over. That's why picking the right person for the job matters so much. Don't just look for someone with a nice camera, or someone that edits "trendy". Look for someone who wants to know your story before they ever take a single photo.
The best senior portraits don't look stiff or fake — they look like you, laughing, confident, and completely yourself. A great portrait artist will ask about your style, your hobbies, and what makes you you before building your session around it. At The Focused Lens, that's the whole point: we don't just take your picture, WE SEE YOU. And what we create together becomes something your family keeps for years to come.

HOW IT WORKS?
YOU ASK. WE ANSWER
How much do senior portraits cost?
Detailed pricing and financing options provided during the consultation, as all family and senior sessions are custom designed around the family/individual. Wall art is specifically curated to fit the walls of your beautiful home. With that in mind, sessions start at $450 with our happiest customers spending an average of $3,500.00.
Do you offer packages?
We do. We have 3 pre-built packages for seniors. Each includes wall art, leather bound album(s), brag books, and grad cards. Our most popular packages includes American Walnut hand-made folio boxes that stores up to 30 mat high-glossy prints, multiple albums, and desk easels for Dad's desk.
How far in advance should I book Senior portraits?
BOOK THEM NOW. In order to provide a highly customized experience, we limit how many seniors we take a year. We photograph year round.
What should I wear?
Most seniors need 3 sessions to fully document their Senior Year. With each 60 - 90 minute session, each senior can bring 3-4 outfits.
Most have a casual/dressy session, which includes the cap and gown. Another session is usually reserved for the sport or hobby. And many Seniors also select a studio session to get that fashion look.
Either way, we work closely with you to select outfits for each session.
A few "Don't Do These" tips.
NO TANNING, self-tanning, spray tanning, or any type of tanning products for 1 week before the session.
NO TATTOOS, piercings, or body modifications 2 weeks before the session. Trust us on this one.
How long are the senior sessions?
Most sessions are 60-90 minutes long and up to 3 outfit changes.
Do you include digital images?
Yes, we include a social media sized digital image used in every product ordered. On average, most Seniors receive about 40-60 images depending entirely on the number of sessions.
How long does a session last?
All sessions are 60 minutes.
When is the best time to schedule a session?
We photograph sessions all year round! Of course, here in Louisiana, May through September can make outdoor sessions a little… sweaty. If you'd rather stay cool, our private studio is always an option.
And because we don't rely on natural light alone, we aren't limited by the clock.
So whether you’re dreaming of an outdoor session, a studio experience, or something completely your own, there’s really no bad time to tell your story.
What products and artwork do you offer?

How many pictures will we receive?
Typically, each Senior has 2-3 sessions. With each session, approximately 20-30 images are produced. During the In-Person Reveal Sesssion, you will select which images to use on wall art, in albums, in folio boxes, and on other products. You will receive a digital image of each of the images used in products and they will be sized perfectly for social media platforms.
